Before You Begin
• Begin with the printer and laminator set up and the printer driver installed. This
printer must be installed by Datacard authorized and trained personnel. If the printer
is not set up, contact your service provider.
• Set up the card design(s) to use, and test before beginning production. Be sure to
use production card stock, all data, and all processes. For example:
— Encode and read magnetic stripe data.
— Print and verify the colors and quality of printing.
— Laminate cards, if used, and make sure it meets your requirements.
• Ask your service provider for assistance, if needed, to make your design work.
If the printer uses the Security Lock, see “Security Lock tab” on
page 40. Unlock the printer before starting any of the tasks in
this chapter.
